Q: Why don’t we include a budget in Institutional Proposal?
A: This is really a business decision. While we may version some things in the Institutional Proposal, most of the time we don’t alter a budget until we get notified that an agency intends to make an award. (This typically goes something like, “we will approve this for funding, but the budget needs to be decreased to X dollars.”) When that happens, we’ll set up the Award and do the re-budgeting directly in the Awards module. Adding this functionality to the Institutional Proposal module would be a high cost without much benefit.
